Ellie Knoller will receive a year of jail time and is prohibited from owning a pet thereafter. Knoller's wife, Jessica Kuncman, was also charged for failing to seek veterinary care for the puppy that survived for 15 hours after Knoller beat the animal, but the case against her will be dropped as part of her husband's plea deal and if she meets certain conditions.
