Nassau Man Stole $62K From Employer: Police

The 30-year-old is accused of making unauthorized purchases on company credit cards.

MINEOLA, NY - A 30-year-old Mineola man stole more than $62,000 from a Mineola business, Nassau Police said.

According to police, Bobby Juarbe was employed by Safe Banking Systems from May 2008 to April 2015.

Juarbe was issued two company American Express credit cards and after leaving the company in April 2015, an internal review was performed, police said.

The company discovered that Juarbe had made several unauthorized purchases for his personal use, totaling over $62,000, police said.

Juarbe surrendered police on Wednesday morning. He is charged with two counts of third degree grand larceny. He was due to be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
