Mineola Reminds Residents to Vote Nov. 10
Residents will decide whether the district will have permission to expend $7 million from their existing Capital Reserve Fund.

The Mineola Union Free School District is reminding all residents to vote at the Tuesday Nov. 10 elections, where they will decide whether the district will have permission to expend $7 million from their existing Capital Reserve Fund.
Similar to a savings account, approval of the expenditure would carry no impact to taxes for residents and is not a bond that would need to be repaid.
If approved, work done with these funds would include:

- Hampton Street School ($5 million): Addition of New Cafeteria/All-Purpose Room; Addition of New Classrooms; Creation of Bus Loop with Parking; Synthetic Turf Football Field; Installation of Field Lighting and New Concession Stand
- Mineola High School ($2 million): Renovation of Technology/Fabrication Lab for Robotics; Additional Storage for Student Projects; New Multi-Sport Synthetic Turf Regulation Field; Replacement of Running Track to 382m Track
Residents can vote at either Jackson Avenue or Meadow Drive schools. Where you vote will depend on your zip code, so consult the district website at www.mineola.k12.ny.us if you are unsure of where to vote. Voting will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day.
