Here are the top stories in Mineola today:
- After cancelling last year's festival due to COVID-19, the Village of Mineola's Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Street Fair this Sunday on Jericho Turnpike between Willis Avenue and Mineola Boulevard. The festival will feature live music at several locations, food from local restaurants, and more than 60 vendors. (The Island Now)
- A 67-year-old man was stabbed on board a NICE bus in New Hyde Park on Tuesday afternoon during an argument with a passenger. The suspect, an Elmont man, was arrested less than a half-mile away and charged with second-degree assault and other charges. (New Hyde Park Patch)
- Students from Mineola High School were among almost 500 students who attended St. John's University Open House on Oct. 3 to tour the campus as prospective enrollees.
