Nassau County Holding Hearing On Marijuana Legalization Tonight

The county will hear testimony from officials and community members, as well as comments from the public.

The Nassau County Legislator is holding a hearing tonight about legalization of marijuana in New York and how it may impact the county.

County officials, including the commissioner of the Department of Health and the police commissioner, as well as community stakeholders, including school officials and civic groups, will be invited to provide testimony about the issue at the meeting. Members of the public are invited to listen to the speakers and voice their own comments.

The meeting is scheduled for tonight, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Legislative Chamber at the Theodore Roosevelt Legislative Building, located at 1550 Franklin Ave. in Mineola.
