Nassau County Secured Nearly $100K In Unclaimed Funds
The recovered money will go back to the county agencies where it originally back from.

MINEOLA, NY — Nassau County just got a little richer.
It has recovered about $100,000 in unclaimed funds.
County agencies where the money came from will get it returned, Newsday reported.

That means more than $65,000 in the recovery assets for the county housing department.
County Treasurer David Chiang told Newsday with a few more accounts outstanding, the total is likely to top $100,000.
