Nassau Couple Robbed Man In His Car, Forced Him To Drive Them: PD
The man was forced to drive the couple around and was placed in fear for his life, police say.
An East Williston couple was arrested early Wednesday after police say they forced a man to drive them around and then robbed him.
According to police, a 50-year-old man was waiting in his car at the intersection of Downing Road and Roslyn Road in East Williston for Ariana Meadows, 26, of East Williston. Williston got into the passenger seat of the car at 12:20 a.m. on April 9, police said, and a few minutes later, a man the victim did not know got into the back seat. That man, who police say was Joseph Santalucia, 26, of East Williston, demanded the man drive, and then forced him to drop off Meadows on Latham Lane.
Police say that Santalucia then placed an unknown object against the man's head, making him fear for his life. They drove to Congress Avenue, where police say that Santalucia demanded the man's money. Santalucia then fled on foot with the money.
