Nassau Girl Scouts Meet LIRR President
Helena Williams talks to Girl Scouts in Mineola.
The Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) recently met with Helena Williams, a former Girl Scout and currently president of the Long Island Railroad (LIRR), for a Meet & Greet.
Williams is the first woman to run a commuter railroad and offered advice for the aspiring businesswomen, stating that her dedication to school is what gave her the confidence she needed to excel.
Her message to the girls was to approach every task with “confidence and courage—that’s what it takes.”
