Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A Mineola man was arrested and charged Wednesday with the murder of a Hempstead man in October.   According to police, Hempstead Police Department officers received a call at 11:52 p.m. on Oct. 18 for an unconscious man who was discovered in Brierley Park in Hempstead, suffering from traumatic injuries to his body. He was taken to a hsopital where he was pronounced dead 12:56 a.m. on Oct. 19. The man was later identified as Luis Rustrian Estrada, 31, of Hempstead.   On Wednesday, Nassau police officers arrested Marvin Yanez, 42, of Roslyn Road, Mineola, for the murder. He is being charged with second degree murder and second degree assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.  Photo: Shutterstock
