Nassau Man Who Killed Toddler Could Be Out Of Jail In Five Years
BREAKING: Lord Pardo beat an 18-month-old to death in 2015, but he may only spend five years in jail. Do you think the sentence is fair?

A Uniondale man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday for the death of a toddler that he was babysitting in October 2015.
Lord Pardo, 28, was convicted by a jury on June 29 of second-degree manslaughter in the child's death.
"Instead of caring for and protecting this precious child, this defendant brutally beat 18 month-old Mason Robinson, causing injuries that tragically took his young life, and today’s sentence holds him accountable for this truly despicable crime," said Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas. "No sentence can erase the pain of losing a child and my heart goes out to the victim’s family."

The victim’s mother had dropped her 18-month old son, Mason Robinson, off at Pardo’s Uniondale home around 7 a.m. on Oct. 11, 2015. Pardo, who is not related to Robinson, was also babysitting his infant daughter.
The toddler was severely beaten and suffered from massive abdominal injuries, including a lacerated liver, internal bleeding, and other injuries caused by Pardo. The child was pronounced deceased at approximately 2:57 p.m. that afternoon by medical personnel at North Shore LIJ Syosset Hospital.
