Police: Man Arrested for Hicksville Burglaries
The suspect was in possession of a backpack that contained bolt cutters and latex gloves Thursday, police said.

Authorities apprehended a Westbury man for breaking into two Hicksville homes early Thursday morning, police said.
According to police, Cesar Pimentel-Garcia, 18, entered the unlocked basement of a Jerusalem Avenue home and attempted to remove a flat screen television at 1 a.m. The homeowner was notified by her barking dog that someone was in her home and she then saw the robber run from her rear yard, police said.
Pimentel-Garcia then stole a bicycle from the basement of a 10th Street home and fled westbound on the bicycle, police said.

Authorities responded to the home and placed the suspect under arrest without incident after he was seen walking westbound on 10th Street.
Police said Pimentel-Garcia was in possession of a backpack that contained bolt cutters and latex gloves.

He was charged with second degree burglary, second degree attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools. He was arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
