Police Release Video of Nassau Armed Robbery Suspect

Do you recognize this man? Police are looking for him.

Nassau County Police are looking to identify the man who robbed another man at gunpoint in Westbury on Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, a 31-year-old man was walking to the Citgo gas station, located at 495 Union Ave., when he saw two men standing in front of 200 School St. at 2:39 a.m.

The man was approached by one of the men on the street after he discovered the gas station was closed and they engaged in a brief conversation, police say. The man he was speaking to then walked behind a van in the parking lot and re-appeared wearing a mask, displayed a handgun and demanded the 31-year-old's money, police say.

The robber fled on foot northbound on School Street with an unknown amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Police have released surveillance footage of the alleged robber walking down the street.

The robber is described as white, in his mid-twenties to early-thirties, and wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and dark pants.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
