Police Search Pawn Shop, Recover Cocaine and Illegal Firearm

BREAKING: Police arrested three at the scene and charged them with drug and weapon possession.

Nassau County Police executed a search warrant in Uniondale Thursday, recovering an illegal gun and what they believe is cocaine, and making two arrests.

According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, Nassau County Police received information regarding drug activity on Front Street in Uniondale. Detectives initiated an extensive investigation that concluded with the Nassau County Asset Forfeiture Unit assisting in executing a legal search warrant of Wall Street Gold & Silver, located at 1093 Front St. in Uniondale, at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.

This search led to the recovery of a rifle flash suppressor/silencer and a Smith & Wesson M&P rifle, as well as the arrest of Nelson U. Larios, 32, of North Central Avenue, Woodmere; Michael A. Ebinger, 30, of Guy Lombardo Avenue, Freeport; and Alexandria Hassell, 22, of Lincoln Avenue, Mineola.

Larios was charged with four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a weapon. Ebinger was charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Both were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday. Hassell was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and was released on an appearance ticket. In addition, summons were issued for violations of Town of Hempstead ordinances for operating an illegal second-hand dealer/pawn shop.
