Police Seek Man Spotted Inside Nassau County School

Faculty members at the elementary school tried to stop the man, but he fled Monday afternoon, police say.

Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a man who trespassed into an elementary school in Floral Park on Monday afternoon.

According to detectives, the man pictured above entered Our Lady of Victory School located at 2 Bellmore Street shortly before 1 p.m. through the front door and walked down the stairs into a men’s bathroom.

At the same time, there was a fire drill at the Catholic school and the man was spotted by faculty members, police said. The teachers tried to stop the man, but he fled out of the school.

The man is described as Hispanic, 25-29 years old, 6-feet tall, with thin build. He wearing a dark gray jogging suit and dark sneakers at the time, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
