Police Seek Men Who Attacked Pizza Delivery Worker in Westbury

The worker was treated for contusions to his head at a local hospital Sunday morning, police said.

Authorities are investigating an attempted robbery where a pizza delivery worker was attacked in Westbury on Sunday morning, police said.

According to authorities, a Papa Johns food delivery worker was going to make a food delivery to an Arlington Street home when a man began hitting him on the head with a metal object at 12:27 a.m..

The victim, 23, fell to the ground and started screaming for help, which caused the man and his accomplice to flee on foot toward Grand Boulevard empty handed, police said.

The Papa Johns worker was taken to a local hospital to be treated for contusions to his head.

The victim described the two suspects as Hispanic males between the ages of 17 to 18.
