Police: Several Weapons Found in Home of Westbury Man Who Threatened Woman
He was arrested Wednesday.

Authorities found several weapons inside a Westbury man’s home after he was arrested for threatening a woman and her family in Westbury on Wednesday, police said.
According to authorities, Gabriel Taveras, 33, was arrested after he threatened physical harm on a 62-year-old woman and her family at 6:25 p.m. He resisted arrest and was treated for a sore wrist, police said.
Authorities issued a court ordered search warrant on Taveras’ home where they found multiple rifles, a handgun and ammunition, police said.

Taveras was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of third degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration, aggravated harassment and second degree aggravated unlicensed.
He was arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
