- Protesters gathered outside the Nassau County Courthouse on Old Country Road in Mineola Tuesday night after a Supreme Court draft opinion was leaked that called for overturning Roe v. Wade and the legal right to an abortion. About 100 people, mostly women, rallied and chanted, "My body, my choice," and held abortion-rights signs. Similar rallies with larger turnouts were held in New York City at Foley Square and Barclays Center. (News 12 Brooklyn)
- Deputy Superintendent of Mineola Public Schools Matthew Gaven will be appointed the new superintendent for Rockville Centre Schools on July 1. Gaven has agreed to a three-year contract for his new role at Rockville Centre Schools that runs through June 2025. (liherald.com)
