String selection Honors for Mineola
Three student musicians are selected for the 2014 Long Island String Festival Association Honors Orchestra.

Mineola High School’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts is proud to announce that three talented student musicians have been selected for the 2014 Long Island String Festival Association Honors Orchestra.
Sam Trested (grade 8), Samantha Kessler (grade 9) and David Kim (grade 10) have all been selected to perform in this prestigious orchestra in November. Since 1956 Long Island String Festival Association has been featuring the young and talented string players of Long Island. LISFA’S dedication to educating young string players has allowed Long Island students to work with renowned conductors and musicians from all over the country. Congratulations to these hard working students, their parents and teachers.
