Police are investigating who spray painted swastikas on a car parked in a Mineola parking garage on Monday night.According to detectives, Third Precinct patrol officers responded to a public parking garage located on Main Street and First Street for a complaint of swastikas spray painted on the doors of a car. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.Photo: Patch

Professors David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman and Beverly Gage will take the stage at the new Wachenheim Center to examine the history of the nation-state and the contested nature of American national identity. The panel will discuss what the United States and the Constitution have meant to citizens over time and how that vision has changed or stayed constant. &nbsp;The event is FREE but registration is required.
