 Take the Lead in Green

Sacred Heart Academy helps Habitat for Humanity build a fully sustainable home.

The young women of Sacred Heart Academy spent their Saturday working alongside Mrs. Kennedy, SHA's school Social Worker and Mr. Trolio, former Theology teacher, to assist Habitat for Humanity in completing its first fully sustainable house. The house, located in Roosevelt is designed by architect Kate Mulry and, once completed, will be completely off grid! The girls operated a "sawsall," measured, cut and installed insulation and set up (and took down) their own scaffolding.

We proudly acknowledge the following young women who worked with courage, compassion and commitment on this important project to serve others:
Bernadette Conway ’17
Mary Crinnion ’18
Maggie Dailey ’18
