Top Children’s Hospitals In New York: U.S. News & World Report

See which hospitals in New York are the best for children, according to U.S. News & World Report's latest rankings.

The best children’s hospitals for 2019-20 rankings released on Tuesday feature the 50 best hospitals in 10 pediatric specialties and 10 hospitals that landed on U.S. News’ honor roll. The hospitals on the honor roll “deliver exceptionally high-quality care across multiple specialties.”

In New York, eight hospitals were ranked among the top 50 in 10 pediatric specialties.

  • Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (3)

  • UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (8)
  • Johns Hopkins Children’s Center (9)
  • Seattle Children’s Hospital (10)

U.S. News says its methodology in tabulating the rankings takes into account measures like patient outcome, including mortality and infection rates, and also available clinical resources and compliance with best practices. (You can read more about the methodology here.)
