🌱 Two Teens Die in West Hempstead Crash + Spooky Walk Returns

Here are the top stories today in Mineola:

  1. An 18-year old female driver struck a parked car on Westminster Road in West Hempstead, killing a 19-year-old male and 17-year-old female. The driver was taken to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. (News12 Long Island)
  2. Ghosts, goblins and creatures of the night are returning to Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson for the annual Spooky Walk presented by the Town of North Hempstead. Hundreds of visitors are expected to attend the popular event on Friday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. (Mineola American)
  3. Bellmore native Peter Izzo is one of 30 contestants this season on The Bachelorette, which kicked off this week. Izzo, now a pizzeria owner in Port St. Joe, Florida, is competing for the heart of Michelle Young, and was one of the 24 men who received a rose to advance to the next episode. (Bellmore Patch)
