Voter's Guide: East Williston School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

East Williston residents will vote on the school district’s $57,478,695 proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, May 17.

The proposal calls for a 1.4 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 0.00 percent, which is $526,530 below the allowable budget under the tax cap.

Two candidates are running unopposed for two trustee seats on the East Williston Board of Education. Candidates include:

  • David Keefe, who is seeking re-election
  • Alan Littman

Residents can vote at Wheatley Gymnasium. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
