Voter's Guide: Mineola School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

Mineola residents will vote on the school district’s $91,214,512 proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, May 17.

The proposal calls for a 1.73 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 0.012 percent tax levy decrease, which is within the state’s tax cap.

Cheryl Lampasona is running unopposed for one trustee seat on the Mineola Board of Education.

Residents can vote at Jackson Avenue and Meadow Drive Schools. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Find your polling location here.
