The has taken on a new shine since coming under , bringing the decor and atmosphere back to its heyday of 1948. Alpert and Fritsche have also reinvigorated the classics, especially with comfort foods at breakfast time.

What’s Inside: These pancakes are made with whole-wheat flour and dotted with blueberries.

How’s It Taste: These pancakes are light without the overpowering taste of the whole-wheat flour. The batter is only made for only five orders with a new batch prepared fresh. Alpert and Fritsche say they’d rather drive themselves crazy than serve food that isn’t fresh.

Sides: The pancakes come with turkey bacon, juice and coffee for $10.95.
