​Bicyclist ID'd In Deadly Nassau Hit-And-Run

BREAKING: Police also released a description of the SUV involved.

MINEOLA, NY — Police have identified a Williston Park bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run in Mineola last week.

Joseph Harrison, 64, was riding south on Mineola Boulevard around 12 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, when he was hit by an Infinity SUV at Washington Avenue, Nassau County police said. Harrison suffered serious head injuries and later died at a hospital.

Investigators are trying to identify and find the SUV, which was described as being a 2006 to 2008 model, light in color, possibly silver or gray, with front-end damage.
