Winthrop Named One of the Best Children's Hospitals

The recognition came from the Women's Choice Award.

Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by the Women’s Choice Award.

“Our Best Children’s Hospitals award helps raise awareness of the top quality care offered for children — not only the critically ill — with specialists, services and technologies for their unique needs,” said Delia Passi, founder and CEO of the Women’s Choice Award, and former publisher of “Working Woman” and “Working Mother” magazines.

“We know the mothers are important decision makers when it comes to selecting the very best healthcare for their children,” said John F. Collins, president and CEO of Winthrop-University Hospital. “That is why Winthrop is so pleased that its Children’s Medical Center has been recognized as a 2017 Best Children’s Hospital by Women’s Choice Award. It is a testament to the compassionate, high quality care that is delivered each day by our exceptional pediatric clinical care team.”
