Woman Beaten With Bats, Money Stolen In Mineola; 3 Men Sought: Police

The crime took place after 2 a.m.Tuesday on Mineola Bouelvard, police said.

MINEOLA, NY — A woman was robbed while walking on Mineola Boulevard in Mineola early Tuesday.

At 2:15 a.m., police said, the 45-year-old victim was approached by three men who exited a white hatchback car.

The men hit the woman with bats. One of the men hit the victim on the back of her neck causing her shirt to rip, exposing money she hid in her blouse, authorities said.

They grabbed the money and fled in an unknown direction in the vehicle, police said.

The victim, who had bruises on her left knee and right elbow, was taken to a nearby hospital. Two front teeth were also chipped.
