• East Hampton residents kill one Montauk eatery plan -- only to face replacement that's double the capacity (nypost.com) — Neighbors in Montauk just saw a downsized restaurant plan rejected, meaning a previously approved, much larger Italian restaurant and bar next to Offshore Montauk is now moving forward instead. After East Hampton's planning board nixed the scaled-back omakase concept, owner Marley Dominguez says he'll revert to the original, higher-capacity design that has locals worried about noise and nightlife impacts.
