• Verplanck Seniors Activate Support Network with Community Raffle to Fund Local Aid (peekskillherald.com) — Local seniors in nearby Verplanck are hosting a May 2 Penny Social to help fund their year-round support, including contributions to the Veterans Administration system in Montrose. The family-friendly raffle at the Verplanck Community Center will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., raising money for food aid, school supplies, emergency assistance to local churches, and support for first responders and veterans groups.
