1 Westchester Teen Killed, 1 In Hospital After Overnight Gun Violence

YONKERS, NY — Yonkers police are investigating a fatal double shooting that killed a teen overnight.

The latest gun violence happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night near Morris Street in Yonkers.

Two victims sitting in a black sedan were shot at through the driver’s window, according to police.

The first gunshot victim, a 19-year-old from Yonkers, was struck at least two times, including once in the chest, officials said. First responders administered CPR and he was brought to a local area hospital where he died.

The second victim, an 18-year-old resident of Yonkers, was struck at least one time in the leg. He was taken to a trauma center in stable condition and is expected to recover, police said.
