21-Year-Old Killed When Car Wrecks On Sprain, Overturns In Lake
The one-car accident on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers left a Lexus upside down in the Grassy Sprain Reservoir, according to NYSP.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — An early morning crash on Sunday left a driver dead after his car crossed the center guardrail and came to a rest upside down in a reservoir.
At nearly 4:30 a.m., a 911 emergency call came in reporting a car in the Grassy Sprain Reservoir near the Ridge Hill Mall in Yonkers. Yonkers Police Department, Westchester County Police Department and State Troopers all responded to the scene.
Investigators said Andrew D. Akroush of Yonkers was driving a 2017 Lexus RX 350 southbound on the Sprain Brook Parkway when his car crashed through the center guard rail. The vehicle overturned and landed in the reservoir. The 21-year-old was brought to shore and pronounced dead by paramedics.

State police said on Monday, they are still investigating the cause of the accident.
