Abused Dogs Found In Mount Vernon, Police Are Investigating
The Mount Vernon Animal Shelter is offering a reward.
MOUNT VERNON, NY — Two emaciated dogs found in Mount Vernon are being treated at the animal shelter while police look for the people who so mistreated them.

The first dog was found Sept. 13, pregnant and starving, on Seneca Avenue. She had open wounds on her face. Rescuers have named her Precious. The second was found in the same area the next day. Rescuers have named her grace.
Investigators believe the dogs came from the same household.
