"The horrific murder of Lisa Grier must serve as a wake-up call to all of us in New York, a stark reminder of the everyday perils of domestic violence," Cacace said. "My office will spare no effort to hold the defendant accountable for killing Ms. Grier, as we have alleged in court, and to provide her loved ones with a modicum of justice. Her memory deserves no less."

According to the felony complaint, between March 20 and March 21, Brice struck Grier, of Mount Vernon, in the head with a hammer several times, killing her.
