Annual JDRF One Walk to Raise Diabetes Awareness is Sunday
Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will host the annual JDRF Walk for a Cure on October 22.

From Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway: Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will host, for the sixth consecutive year, the annual JDRF Walk for a Cure to raise awareness for the millions of Americans affected by type 1 diabetes.
The walk also hits close to home for many Empire City Casino employees who have a loved one or know someone affected by type 1 diabetes. Motivated to help the millions of families impacted by diabetes each year, Empire City Casino on its own has raised more than $2 million the last five years hosting the JDRF One Walk, which is one of more than 200 JDRF walks across the country.
Empire City Casino staff and JDRF executives will be available for interviews, and those cheering on their loved ones can enjoy a variety of food and entertainment trackside.

When: Sunday, October 22. Registration begins 9:00 AM, with the JDRF Walk beginning 10:00 AM.
Where: On the track of Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway
810 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY (Valet Entrance for Media at 560 Central Park Ave)
Details: Registration for the JDRF Walk begins at 9:00 AM with the walk commencing at 10:00 AM. Media attending should VALET their cars using the valet entrance at 560 Central Park Avenue and will be given a valet voucher upon arriving at press check-in.
