Arrest in Monday's Fatal Shooting in Mount Vernon
Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
MOUNT VERNON, NY — An arrest has been made in Monday's fatal shooting of Trevon Boswell, Mount Vernon officials said Tuesday.
Thanking the skill and competence of the Mount Vernon Police Department, Mayor Richard Thomas introduced the police chief at a press conference to announce the city's new police technology partnership with Microsoft.
"Unfortunately we had our first homicide of the year," said Chief Richton Ziadie. "It's painful for the parents, relatives and the citizens of Mount Vernon. An arrest has been made and a weapon recovered."
