The Bunny Is Making Big Plans: Easter Egg Hunts in Mount Vernon

With an "Egg-cellent Adventure" at the library & an egg hunt at the park, Mount Vernon families have no shortage of fun ways to celebrate.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Santa Claus might only work one day a year, but the Easter Bunny hops out of bed every morning ready to hide some eggs and he's working overtime in Mount Vernon this year.

Update: Due to rain in the forecast, the Easter Celebration originally scheduled for April 9, has been postponed to April 16, at noon.

The City of Mount Vernon Department of Recreation's Easter Celebration will be held at Hartley Park on Saturday, April 16. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 12:15 p.m.

There will also be double-dutch, Easter bags and more fun.

Hartley Park is located at 255 Gramatan Ave. in Mount Vernon.

There will also be an "Egg-cellent Adventure" at the Mount Vernon Public Library on Saturday, April 16, from noon - 3 p.m. There will be an Egg Hunt, an Easter Bag giveaway, Story Time with recording artist Keora, an Easter movie and face painting.

The Mount Vernon Library is located at 28 South First Ave.
