Cash, Cell Phone And Jewelry Stolen At Gunpoint From Basement Apartment: PD

BRONX, NY — Four masked men broke into a basement apartment in Soundview Monday morning and walked out with bank cards, cash, a cell phone and jewelry, police said.

New York Police said they were called to a basement apartment on Elder Avenue at 4:03 Monday morning for reports of an armed robbery. Police said the two men inside the apartment were 21 and 24 years-old, with the 21-year-old unscathed in the incident. The 24-year-old, police said, suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention.

As for what was taken, police said the 24-year-old had his bank card taken, while the 21-year-old had an indeterminate amount of cash, a cell phone and jewelry stolen.

According to police, one of the masked men wore a read sweatshirt, one wore all black, and two wore grey sweatshirts, with the group fleeing westbound on foot on Bruckner Boulevard. All four men carried firearms during the incident, police said.
