Councilman Wallace Hosts Grand Council of Guardians

The Grand Council of Guardians Inc. consists of African-American organizations in the field of law enforcement in New York state.

From the Office of Councilman André Wallace: "It is with great pleasure that I am hosting the Grand Council of Guardians 11th Annual Woman's History Month Event, this Thursday, March 30th, at Mount Vernon City Hall.

The Grand Council of Guardians Inc. consists of African-American organizations in the field of Law Enforcement, Uniformed and Civilians throughout New York State.

At this event, we will recognize the contributions of women of African decent in the Justice System within the various fraternal organizations throughout the state of New York.

To recognize the accomplishments of our youth, we are pleased to announce that Mount Vernon's own Jahajah Shaw, will be receiving the Community Service Award.

Westchester County Correction Sergeant, Etonya Lee Bonds-Conn will also be one of the honorees.

This is the first time that this event will be held in the county of Westchester. I am honored to have so many powerful women in Law Enforcement within the Mount Vernon City Council Chambers."
