Fatal Motorcycle Crash Follows Calls About Drag Racing On I-87
NY State Police responding to calls about motorcyclists racing on the highway in Yonkers were soon investigating a deadly wreck.
YONKERS, NY — A deadly overnight crash followed reports of motorcycles racing in the area, New York State Police said.
Just before 1:00 a.m. Friday morning, police answered a call about motorcycles racing on I-87 northbound, in Yonkers. Moments later, troopers received a new call that a motorcycle had crashed just a half mile away from where the drag racing motorcycles were first reported.
Frank Mahouti, of Paramus, New Jersey was riding a 2018 Ducati motorcycle northbound on I-87, near mile marker 3.5 at a high speed and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, accident investigators said. The Ducati struck the guardrail on the shoulder, causing Mahouti to be ejected from the motorcycle.

Mahouti suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Westchester County Medical Examiner.
The crash remains under investigation.
