Westchester County, NY (June 28, 2017) – Fordham University’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) and the New York State Small Business Development Center hosted “Practical Tips for Digital and Social Marketing Success” on Wednesday, June 21 at Fordham’s Westchester campus in West Harrison.
The event was hosted by Robin Colner, founder and director of Fordham’s Digital & Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate Program, which is housed in PCS. Throughout the presentation, Colner shared insight and trends across a multitude of social media channels, explaining how businesses can effectively position themselves on these platforms to reach their target audiences. To showcase some of the social media tools that businesses have at their disposal, Colner broadcasted the presentation on Facebook Live, and encouraged attendees to stream on their own devices and share their thoughts on Twitter.
After exploring the uses and benefits of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn and more, Colner concluded the presentation with her tips for small businesses to maximize the effectiveness of social media. Each person in attendance received a free copy of the book Social Media Marketing for Small Business, by Simone Mullinax.
