Former Mount Vernon Deputy Police Commissioner Sentenced
Sentencing guidelines called for up to six months in prison.
MOUNT VERNON, NY — A former Mount Kisco deputy police commissioner will not be going to jail after pleading guilty to using someone else's credit to pay for medical procedures. Fraida Hickson used the credit to get $7,800 worth of plastic surgery.
She was sentenced Thursday to one year of probation and 50 hours of community service, the Journal News reported.
Sentencing guidelines called for up to six months in prison, but U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas decided the loss of her job was meaningful punishment.
