Forum On E. 3rd Street Bridge Project

A second public meeting will inform commuters and the traveling public about the East 3rd Street Bridge replacement project.

From NY DOT: The New York State Department of Transportation will host a second Public Meeting to inform commuters and the traveling public about the East 3rd Street Bridge replacement project in the village and town of Pelham and the city of Mount Vernon. The project will remove and replace the bridge structure, and reconstruct the Parkway ramps to tie into the new Parkway elevations.

During construction, the East 3rd Street Bridge, between Hutchinson Avenue in Mount Vernon and Wolfs Lane in Pelham, will be closed and traffic will utilize a temporary bridge that will be placed adjacent to the old bridge. Construction activities are expected to begin on Monday, September 25, 2017, and expected to last until July 2018, when traffic will be returned to its typical pattern.

The Public Meeting will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mount Vernon City Council Chambers (see details below).
