Man Admits Stabbing Woman In Face While Sexually Assaulting Her

The man walked his naked victim towards his Mount Vernon home at knifepoint before she was able to escape.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A Mount Vernon man has admitted to a horrific sexual assault and now faces up to 15 years behind bars.

Hasarn Myke entered a guilty plea this week to a slew of felonies, including attempted sexually motivated assault, assault, sexual abuse in the first degree, sexually motivated assault in the second degree and two counts of assault in the second degree. The 40-year-old also pled guilty to misdemeanor unlawful imprisonment, Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced on Friday.

On November 20, of last year, at approximately 5 a.m., Myke punched a woman in the face and body, kicked her in the stomach and used a knife to remove her clothing in a secluded area in Mount Vernon. Myke then sexually assaulted the woman and stabbed her in the face while quietly humming, according to prosecutors.

Myke then reportedly stood the woman up, grabbed her by the back of the neck and walked her while she was naked and at knifepoint toward his home. The victim managed to escape to a nearby house and the Mount Vernon Police Department was called. She was treated at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.

Mount Vernon police arrested Myke seven days later on November 27.

Myke faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in a state prison, with 15 years of post-release supervision. He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 25, 2022.
