Missing Person Alert Issued For At-Risk 17-Year-Old Girl
Police are asking for the public's help finding a teenager with bipolar disorder who was last seen in Mount Vernon on Nov. 17.
MOUNT VERNON, NY — Police are asking for the community's help locating a missing teenage girl with bipolar disorder who has been off medication for 6 months.
Akira Manning was last seen in Mount Vernon on Nov. 17, according to a missing person advisory issued by the Mount Vernon Police Department on Thursday night. It is believed she may be in the area of South 11th Ave. between 1st and 2nd Streets, police officials said.
MVPD is circulating a recent photograph of Manning. She is described as 5 ft 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair . The teen was last seen wearing a tan, short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and white crocs.

Manning has tattoos of roses on her right forearm and a sunflower on her right shoulder.
Mount Vernon police are asking anyone with information about the current location of Akira Manning to call them at 914-665-2500 or the local police department if she is spotted elsewhere.
