Moped Stop In Mount Vernon Leads To Felony PCP, Crack Bust: NYSP
The 45-year-old suspect was riding an unregistered moped on 7th Avenue when he caught the attention of troopers.
MOUNT VERNON, NY —A Mount Vernon moped rider isn't riding quite so high after encountering New York State Police.
Just before 2 p.m., on September 19, state troopers stopped an unregistered moped on 7th Avenue in Mount Vernon. Police said the moped rider, Ricky Riggins, was in possession of approximately 5.6 grams of crack cocaine and 11 grams of phencyclidine (PCP).
The Mount Vernon man was arrested for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree and felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree.

The 45-year-old was arraigned before the city of Mount Vernon Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
