Motorcycle Crash In Scarsdale Kills Mount Vernon Man

The Post Road was closed almost all night during investigation and clean-up.

SCARSDALE, NY — A Mount Vernon man died Friday in Scarsdale after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle. Due to the serious nature of the accident and the investigation at the scene, Post Road / Route 22 was completely closed in both directions between Sherbrooke Road and Crane Road for the remainder of the evening, according to Scarsdale police.

The crash took place near the intersection of Wayside Lane, not far from Scarsdale High School, at about 6 p.m.

The motorcyclist was identified as Junio Aridio of Mount Vernon. The 44-year-old was treated and transported by the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps to the Westchester Medical Center.

The operator of the other vehicle was not injured.

The Westchester County Police Accident Investigation Unit assisted at the scene.
