Motorcyclist Killed In Tragic Bronx River Parkway Crash

YONKERS, NY — A motorcycle accident has left one person dead and caused traffic mayhem for much of the afternoon commute.

The Westchester County Police Department says the motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon on the northbound Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers, when he lost control and crashed just south of the Yonkers Ave. exit.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the fatal crash, which took place just north of the NYC border, traffic was diverted off the Bronx River Parkway at the 233rd St. exit in the Bronx for most of the afternoon.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victim.
