Mount Vernon Couple Presumed Dead In Dominican Republic

Mount Vernon couple Orlando Moore and Portia Ravenelle are presumed dead in the Dominican Republic, according to news reports.

Police in the DR said they believe a woman who had died in hospital after having been found severely injured by the side of a highway will be identified as Ravenelle. A man's body found in a car in the ocean miles away is believed to be Moore's, NBC New York reported. Due to conditions in the Caribbean, police have not been able to recover the car, but they believe it is the car Moore and Ravenelle rented to go from their hotel to the airport.
