MOUNT VERNON, NY — As the new year approaches, our local officials are still busy conducting the public's business in plain sight.
"If you have a plan, we want to hear it," George H.W. Bush famously said. "Tell your community leaders, your local officials, your governor, and your team in Washington. Believe me, your ideas count. An individual can make a difference."
There are still opportunities to help tend to our democracy close to the roots. The last public meetings of 2022 are scheduled for this week in Mount Vernon.
